Pinetop Perkins was an early force in blues piano, playing with some of the most influential bluesmen in the country, most notably Muddy Waters. Pinetop was born and raised on a plantation in Mississippi, and he grew up hearing the Delta blues. He was a sought after blues artist, who at the age of 68, decided it was time to start his solo career! Perkins embodies the history of the blues, having a career that spanned literally over 80 years. Hear the stories, the songs, and memories of one of the greatest blues artists of the last century, Pinetop Perkins. Trust me, he was telling the truth when he sang, “Got My Mojo Workin’!”  1 hour and 15 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of discussion and Q&A for attendees. Class will be streamed and recorded for replay on-demand.
