This combined presentation celebrates the lives and music of recently departed Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline. A special section will discuss the loss of Dolly Aug. 25, 2026 and give tribute to her legacy. These two artists played pivotal roles in bringing country music into mainstream America. Through biographical exploration and musical analysis, the program highlights their early influences, career breakthroughs, and defining recordings. Participants will examine how Cline’s vocal style helped shape the Nashville Sound, while Parton’s songwriting and crossover success expanded the genre’s reach.
